This page tracks major, player-visible changes to Crawlspace since its initial release. Every release below likely includes various minor improvements and bug fixes, not listed here.

October 14, 2026

  • The discard-pile pane now lets you switch between three views of the pile’s cards: literal top-to-bottom stack order, sorted by value, or sorted and displayed among the entire deck.

October 12, 2026

  • Added marching-order support to the City, Crawl, and Camp phase views. The leftmost and rightmost player panes have “Front” and “Rear” labels applied, respectively, and the GM can reorder these panes by dragging them around.

  • The GM can now click any rank on the initiative strip to immediately set the current initiative to that rank.

  • Each deck’s draw pile now shows a small number indicating how many cards remain in that pile.

October 9, 2026

  • Increased the allowed idle time for active tables before automated cleanup to 90 days, up from 45.

August 11, 2026

  • Added support for the High Chant Cups talent (rules page 79). During a Camp phase, you can distribute Inspiration cards. A held Inspiration card appears next to your hand during subsequent Challenges, ready to play. Thanks to Este on the Discord for the suggestion.

  • Related to the above, you can now drag cards out of the middle of the discard pile. I’m not sure why you’d do that outside of a High Chant action, but you can do it anyway.

  • Also related: you can click a pile of Played cards to see the whole list of them, in the order they were played—and you can grab and move any of those, if the pile belongs to you. (Or if you’re the GM.)

  • A new appendix of unusual situations in the documentation details how to handle various less-common tarot-deck activities that the core Worm rules allow from time to time, such as deck-reordering in the Sidereal House or playing Blackjack in the Court of Swords. Thanks to Este on the Discord for the suggestion.

  • Removed restrictions on which phases the GM could switch to. Want to go from the City phase straight into a Challenge? Be my guest.

July 20, 2026

  • Crawlspace was announced on the His Majesty the Worm Discord server, to enthusiastic response. Lots of changes happened to it over the subsequent three weeks, not recorded here. My thanks to all who made suggestions and reported issues during this time.
